Missionary C. Elijah Matthews
An ex-offender and previously a gentleman of leisure,
who managed ladies of the evening. Presently, he is the founder
and president of Elijah’s Fathering Ministry, Incorporated.
This is a residential transitional living facility and disciple training center.
A Missionary to
Prisons and the streets of Urban America for over 30 years.
Brother Elijah as he likes to be called, received his Doctorate of
Divinity in 1990 and
was elevated to the office of Bishop in 1996.
He has Authored several books,
including, "Crack in the Church" and "Benefits of a Son" and
written many witnessing tracts.
Brother Elijah currently is focusing his efforts on the prison
ministries and is conducting Bible based 12 Step Programs, Bible Studies
and One - on - One Counseling in the North Florida Prison System.
R ecently
Dr. Matthews was awarded the "Prison Ministry Award" by the
state of Florida for his services and dedication to the men
behind the prison walls. Brother Matthews is truly an
inspiration to everyone he is in contact with.
