About
Us
It's about my
future. Will I face discrimination outside? How will I deal outside? Will
I stand strong against the temptations that are about to come, going back
to old peers, my old ways?
Elijah's
Fathering Ministry (EFM) seeks to help ex-offenders who take
responsibility for their own actions and are trying their best to
persevere and
earn back
the trust from their family, friends, colleagues and the community. EFM
engages the community to offer second chances to ex-offenders who
sincerely want to change.
Although
they have been released and feel that they are a changed person,
the emotional prison is still there. Employers turn their back on
them, families refuse to associate with them, and they can't even get life
insurance if they are on probation. We know it's tough for the
public perception to change, but we hope that people will learn to accept
the ex-offenders, and that they can truly chang.
Elijah's Fathering Ministry (EFM) is a
transitional home where we assist ex-offenders through discipleship and
at the same time give them a clean safe facility to live
in. One of our main goals is not only
to teach them there is hope, but also show them it is
true.
